Born in Trenton, New Jersey and raised by his grandparents in Juncos, Puerto Rico, a mountain town with sweeping views of El Yunque, Richard Martinez developed a strong appreciation for community, discipline, and hard work from an early age.

Richard began his professional career in the hospitality industry at the age of 16, where he gained hands-on experience in service, operations, and client relations. Over a successful decade in hospitality, he built a solid foundation in leadership, execution, and customer experience—skills that would later shape his entrepreneurial path.

With a long-standing interest in real estate and investing, Richard made a decisive transition into the real estate industry during the pandemic. Alongside Denise, he co-founded Nest Lux LLC, a boutique real estate brokerage designed to merge innovation, hospitality-driven service, concierge-level experiences, and strategic marketing.

Under Richard’s leadership, the Nest Lux team has closed over $200 million in real estate transactions across Puerto Rico in the past five years. As Managing Partner, he oversees growth strategy, operations, and business development while continuing to expand the brokerage’s presence throughout the island.

Richard is committed to delivering a refined client experience grounded in trust, transparency, and long-term value. His vision for Nest Lux centers on building a modern brokerage that elevates industry standards while creating meaningful opportunities for clients, partners, and agents alike.

As the Managing Partner on Nest Lux, I aim to bring new concepts and opportunities, not only to my clients but to my country, Puerto Rico.
